Semi button-up, the collarless blouse is rendered in a rustic, semi-crinkle cotton fabric. Fine 'chikankari' paisley embroidery is scattered across the blouse and a same-tone border embroidery runs across the neckline and underarms.
Often referred to as 'poetry on fabric', Chikankari embroidery is a slow process where the outline of the design is block printed on the fabric and then hand-embroidered by artisans. The loose threads and knots at the back are imperfections which show the manual nature of the technique.
