Why use Sheets Made from French Linen

Why use Sheets Made from French Linen
Because there is no substitute

When sisters Andrea & Joen first encountered pure French linen sheets they immediately fell in love with the sumptuous look and feel of high quality bed linen. They were so impressed they searched for the perfect linen sheets and were surprised how hard they were to find. Determined to succeed, these enterprising women set about crafting their own French linen sheets.

Linen is more than just good looks

Linen is the most magnificent natural fabric. Once you’ve experienced the luxury of French linen bedding, it’s hard to sleep on anything else. Linen has so many sublime characteristics, it’s crisp, clean and comfortable, yet it is also soft and durable. Surprisingly the more linen is used and laundered, the softer and stronger it becomes.

Many people are drawn to linen sheets due to its the appearance and beneficial properties. All sheets are pre-shrunk so they always fit perfectly, while creating a drape for a stylish look. Natural linen offers so much more and linen remains colourfast and launders beautifully. It also has the additional advantage of being non-allergenic, so it’s great for children and adults.

Cool in summer and warm in winter, natural linen assures you get a good night’s sleep all year round. French linen sheets are perfect for those hot Australian summer nights. The fabric is naturally permeable and can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture before it feels damp.  Unlike cotton, linen wicks away the moisture to the air, remaining cool and dry to the touch. In winter, natural linen retains the heat and warmth from your body, so you remain comfortable and cosy.

Linen is good for you and good for the environment

The French linen is made from flax, a plant that requires considerably fewer pesticides and fertilisers than other crops, as well its 100% biodegradable. Linen production is an eco-friendly process that uses very little chemicals, unlike cotton or other natural materials. Linen is an investment that pays for itself over time, it’s durable and long lasting and softens as it ages, making it even more comfortable.
